On July 24, the Chair of the RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security Andranik Kocharyan met with the members of the Project on Enhancing the Security Sector Governance in the RA Graziella Pavone, Human Rights Officer OSCE/ODIHR, the representatives from the OSCE Conflict Prevention Centre Neving Rudskjaer, Policy Support Officer and Alexandra Pfefferle, Associate Project Officer. The Head of the Open Governance Innovations Center Davit Hakobyan and the Specialist of the Public Governance Sosi Tatikyan also took part in the meeting.

The preliminary version of the project was worked out jointly with the experts of the Standing Committee and the Open Governance Innovations Center, receiving the support of a number of international structures, including the OSCE. During the meeting key issues concerning the project were discussed.

The RA NA Standing Committee on Defense and Security with the NGOs initiated an open platform which would give an opportunity to carry out democratic control towards security sector.
